I think that overall year grades are a little vague compared to the SAT's. I think they're vague because it doesn't exactly show what was done during the year. Maybe some of the grades for homework or tests were zeros and the kid made it up with other stuff. SAT's show what was learned over the year and gives the person a chance to show their skill.
