Fate is basically everything in Romeo and Juliet. It was Romeo's fate to find Juliet, even if it seemed like an accident. It was fate that led Romeo to get in the way and let Mercutio die by Tybalt. Fate that leds them to the end of the book, where everything goes wrong and Romeo and Juliet's fate is to die together and end their families feuds.
